In an era of ever-busier public roads, hidden speed cameras and an increasing awareness of traffic safety issues, one of the safest and most popular ways of getting the most out of today’s high performance road cars is to take part in organised Track Days.

How else are you going to be able to explore the full potential of your Caterham, TVR, Radical, Ferrari, Porsche or Lotus? On a genuine race circuit, with a proven surface, generous run-off, and professional organisation, owners can drive their cars to the limit, with minimum risk to themselves and others.

Preparation

You may think your car handles well. The occasional blast down a country road, a dab on the brakes, and an extra half a G here or there through a twisty bit, and you’ll probably be convinced that your example of automotive technology is the next best thing to a Ferrari F248. Sadly, you’d be mistaken. Take your car out onto a racetrack, and things change dramatically.

Here at Skater we understand that the stresses and strains imposed on a car under circuit conditions are far more complex and rigorous than anything ever experienced on the road. Our engineers and mechanics have been working at the highest levels in motorsport for years, preparing cars for racing in endurance events of two hours to twenty-four, as well as sprints and rallies. Correct preparation for a Track Day should be no less exacting.
